Tattoos
- The legal age for tattooing without parental consent is 18 years of age.
- If you are over 16 and have parental consent, we will consider your tattoo on a case by case basis. The decision to do your tattoo will be at the artist's discretion.
Piercings
- The legal age for piercing without parental consent is 16 years of age.
- If you are under 16 and have parental consent, we require it either verbally in person or in writing from your parent.
- The legal age for genital and nipple piercings is 18 with no exceptions. Any person found to provide consent or undertake this is liable for legal ramifications and prosecution.
We adhere to the Legislature of New South Wales, Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 2008, section 230 Tattooing of Children and Young Persons.
As per the Children and Young Persons Act 2008, written consent is required. A statutory declaration will be completed prior to your tattoo, along with identification from both the young person and the parent.
